Huntingburg and Wabash have been named Indiana's 2014 Stellar Communities. Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann made the announcement this morning at the Indiana State Fair.
The City of Wabash is the only one of the six Stellar Community Grant finalists to be a repeat from the 2013 grant cycle. However, Mayor Robert Vanlandingham isn’t taking that as a sign of a sure thing for the city.
The cities of Decatur and Wabash are among the six finalists in Indiana's 2014 Stellar Communities program. The two winners, to be determined this summer, could be in line for millions of dollars to help with downtown development.
