Taiwan Seeks to Bolster Air Defence with NASAMS from the USA

As per recent developments in East Asia, Taiwan has expressed its interest in acquiring the National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) from the United States. The NASAMS, developed by Norway’s Kongsberg Defence and Aerospace and produced by Raytheon Technologies, is a distributed and networked medium to long-range air-defence system.
